I'm at the Watershed tonight having seen a fairly dreary film whilst waiting for my 16 yr old son to come out of the Carling Academy. The best thing about being here was picking up details of THE ANIMATED ENCOUNTERS Festival in April - Filton is going to have a 'stall' in the festival MARKET-PLACE to promote our DIPLOMA IN ANIMATION. This is going to be a bit of a flagship for the new Academy. There's going to be quite an investment from the College- with a new TV Studio and Animation studio. I've just drawn up the plans for the building work. Hopefully we'll be able to speak to some enthusiastic would be animators who want a course to prepare them for University- though potentially the course will produce some animators who could go straight into the Industry.
